The New Moon is finally here, and it's a sight for sore eyes! We'll be feeling a rush of energy coming in for this new lunar month and a rush of LIGHT! The Moon is a card about shadows. It shows up when you were following a path that felt really nice and easy, and all of the sudden you realize it's much different than you thought. Have you ever taken a walk at sunset only to end up walking home in the darkness? Once the sun is gone a new light is shone upon the earth and everything looks different. The moon is a shadow-caster, and the shadows that appear at night can frighten you and make you want to walk home a new way. This card is here to show us we don't have anything to fear within the darkness, of ourselves or the world. Our light is much brighter. And the light the Sun and Neptune are shining right now enhance the rays. Each person has a shadow side and to love oneself or another, you must love that side as well. We all have a part of ourselves that we don't like, it's natural. Shine a light on that side of yourself. How can you love it? Are there changes that need to be made, or does your love have to come from acceptance? Think of all the power you gain by accepting a part of yourself you once hid. Accept it and grow! The Moon is about a choice. Do you choose to grow and walk into the darkness unafraid, knowing the light is within, or do you run? Do you want to take an easier way? Khepera, the scarab at the bottom of the card, represents protection against hard truths. You've had this for some time now, but the truth is out and it's time to face it. The choice you make will alter your path. You must decide how willing you are to walk amongst the shadows. This is the eighteenth card of the Major Arcana and in numerology reduces to nine. Nine is the culmination of many steps that have been taken on a path. You're almost at the end and you have a final choice or step to take before you can begin your next phase of enlightenment. This card aligns with the Hermit signifying that only you can make this decision. You won't find the answer from others. You can do it! Mercury and Jupiter are working together to bring forth knowledge and truth. The next two weeks are going to feel fast and exciting! Set your intentions tonight. Surround yourself with the scent of orange flower, bring in that stability and peace, or perhaps burn a vanilla candle to restore any energy that has been lost over the past couple of months. Bring in the color of the chakra that needs alignment, bring in all your Quartz and labradorite. Think about the questions of the future. How are you going to move forward? What do you want to come flooding into your life over the next month? What traits need to be absorbed to make everything happen for you? Move forward in strength and love.
